One of Amazing Place in The World

SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE

Sydney Opera House is Australia's most recognisable building and is an icon of Australia's creative and technical achievement. Since its completion in 1973 it has attracted worldwide acclaim for its design and construction, enhanced by its location on Bennelong Point within a super harbour setting.

The design of the building, with its soaring white roof shell shaped sails atop a massive red granite platform, has been internationally acclaimed as an architectural icon of the 20th century. As a dominant sculptural building that can be seen and experienced from all sides, it is the focal point of Sydney Harbour and a reflection of its character.

The designer of the Sydney Opera House was Jorn Utzon. Jorn was an unknown 38 year old Danish architect until the 29th January in 1957 when he was announced the winner of the competition for the Sydney Opera House in Sydney. It was Jorn’s vision that Sydney was to be recognised as an international city.

What is the Sydney Opera House Used For?
The Sydney Opera House is traditionally a entertainment venue not only used for the Opera but it also hosts a variety of musical and theatrical events much like other venue’s in Sydney like the Sydney Entertainment Centre.

What is the Sydney Opera House Made Of?
What is the Sydney Opera House Made of? – The Sydney Opera House is an absolute masterpiece of modern architecture. Each of the Sydney Opera Houses distinctive shells are pre cast and covered in off white tiles. The podium is covered in reconstituted granite panels. The Sydney Opera House is also made of large expansive glass panels. The Sydney Opera House is meant to look like a giant sailing ship, and from some angles it does look exactly that.

This is some venues at Sydney Opera House

1.    Concert hall
With its grand setting, gorgeous wooden panelling and cathedral-like ambience, the world-renowned Concert Hall is Sydney Opera House’s most prestigious and majestic space.
The largest of all Sydney Opera House interior venues, it delivers outstanding acoustics derived from its high vaulted ceiling and white birch timber and brush box panelling.
Extraordinary venues call for incredible performances, which is why the elegant Concert Hall is a natural home to the Sydney Symphony, Australian Chamber Orchestra and Sydney Philharmonia Choirs. But this is not simply a classical performance space – its unrivalled sound quality has also drawn some of the world’s most distinctive voices, ranging from Janet Jackson and Bat for Lashes to Kanye West and The Cure. It’s also a prime location for screenings, spoken-word performances and large-scale events, the Sydney Festival being just one example.

Since the Opera House opened in 1973, just one other individual has been honoured by the renaming of a venue with the original architect’s name being given to the Utzon Room. The two people most associated with Sydney Opera House, the man who created it, Jørn Utzon, and the woman who made it sing, Joan Sutherland, are now an intrinsic part of the building’s fabric and history

3.        Playhouse
Want to draw the crowd closer to your creative talents? Seating just 398, Sydney Opera House’s Playhouse is where story-telling – no matter if it’s in the form of theatre, dance, music or the spoken word – is at its most intimate.

5.       Recording studio
Boasting state-of-the-art technology, the Recording Studio unlocks a world of potential for film makers, producers and individual artists alike. This is my story

MY LAST HOLIDAY

I spend my holiday in Bandung-Cimahi or Cimahi-Bandung. I’m not going to another city. I don’t know why. My parent decided that. I’m just go to grandma’s home, shopping center, church and aunt’s home which not too far from my home. This holiday usually called Christmas holiday by me, maybe for some people too. Many people feel joy in holiday especially me. I’m very excited to wait this moment. Christmas day is the only time that I can meet and gather with all my family member. Except this moment, my family always  busy with their work. We still can gather in another holiday, but not all of my family member can come. So, I’m very happy for this holiday.
A few day before, my mother and I, we are made some cookies for Christmas. I helped to mix the dough until it enough to be baked. I’m very exited of this holiday. While waiting the cookies done, my mother and I, we setted and decorated our Chrismast tree. We put some coloured ball, some ornament, some little lamp, and many other. After the Cristmas tree finish, we turned on the lamp, and the tree was so beautiful.
And when the Christmas day, my family and I, we went to church. It is 45 minutes from my house by car. At the church, many people wear beautiful dress, tidy coat, and many more. We pray at the church. After that, we go to our other family. We visit their house to say “Merry Christmas”, we talk to each other, we eat some cookies and we go home.

That was my last holiday, It was’nt excited enough, but it was impressed. In each Christmas holiday, there was different experience, new good side. I hope you enjoy your holiday! J

Natural Phenomena - Rain

Water have a cycle named WATER CYCLE also known as the hydrologic cycle, the water cycle describes the process by which the various forms of water move about the planet in a fairly constant balance. But just because it's fairly balanced doesn't mean we have all the water we need, whenever we want it. But first, what is the cycle, really? What is the water cycle?
Like all circular items, the water cycle has no true beginning and no end, though the water changes state from liquid to solid -- as ice and snow, for example -- and as vapor. The cycle is the process by which the water, in whatever form, goes from place to place, ocean to cloud to rainwater to river and back again through a cycle of rising air currents, precipitation, runoff and a few other processes.

Four steps in the water cycle
·         Evaporation occurs when water transforms from liquid to gas, usually as a result of the sun's warming rays. Evaporation often technically includes transpiration from plants (the vapor the "breathe" out as they grow), though together they are specifically referred to as evapotranspiration.

·         Condensation occurs as the vapor rises into the atmosphere, creating clouds and fog. Once clouds are formed, advection -- the movement of water in its various states -- through the atmosphere. Without advection, the cycle would screech to a halt, as the water would evaporate and precipitate (the next step) in the same place.

·         Precipitation occurs when the vapor that condensed comes back out of the sky as rain, snow, sleet, hail. Most of it comes back to the ground or body of water, but some of it is intercepted by plant foliage and evaporates back to the atmosphere instead of making it to the ground, in a process called "canopy interception."

·         Runoff is the process by which water moves across land and includes both surface runoff -- when water travels over land -- and channel runoff -- when it gets into streams and rivers. As is bubbles and rambles along, it can drain into the ground, evaporate into the air, run into and become stored in lakes or reservoirs, or be gathered up for human uses.
